Leading New Zealand outdoor company, Barracuda Kayaks, has been involved with GODZone since Chapter 1 and this year has become the exclusive kayak sponsor. The Auckland based company is a world leader in lightweight plastic kayaks and has a long association with GODZone having built an entire fleet of specialised double racing kayaks for Chapter One back in 2011.

“ The Barracuda A R Duo was built specifically for adventure racing and multisport and is extremely reliable and efficient in all types of water. The boats are robust and very light which makes them ideal for competitive events like GODZone,” says Race Director Warren Bates.

“ We have developed a significant relationship with Barracuda Kayaks creator Gordy Robinson and having the company join our group of high profile sponsors adds another important dimension to the event.”

Director Gordon Robinson has attended GODZone each year providing support for the racers and the management crew.
